Chase Valentin is a neo-expressionist artist,
writer & musician. Born in Caerleon, he lived in
his native Wales until moving to London in
1990, where his base has since remained.
In 2001 he set up his studio in the Languedoc
region of France, before relocating in 2003 to
Valencia, Spain. Having spent five years
watching the sun rise over the mediterranean,
the future lies in watching it set over the Atlantic
with a move this year to Lisbon, Portugal.
He continues to produce gallery pieces for
exhibition in his own name whilst also
producing work to commission in collaboration
with architects and designers through his
studio, Impudens.
In addition to volumes of poetry, he has written
a collection of dark short stories and vignettes
entitled Departures, and has written the music
and lyrics for a soundtrack based on his
writings and paintings, entitled Striking Coins.
